So, new year, new me! Well, keeping at it, anyhow. I started Weight Watchers the Saturday before Sandy hit. I have happily survived the storm and the holidays; as of Saturday, I am down 17.8 pounds! I'm hoping to hit the 20lb mark this week. Onward (downward?) to goal I go!

Cheers for (Extremely) Small Victories!
OK, so I got back on track this week. For the most part, I did OK - a few slips here and there, but that's normal, right? I'm down half a pound. To some, it might not seem like much (heck, to me it's not much!), but I have to remind myself that it's half a pound less sitting on my butt than last week.
Powering through, regrouping, and remotivating myself this week. I refuse to get shelf-butt (you know, the women you see where you swear you could rest a tray on their rears?), so I am half a pound further away from it. :)
Keep smiling, keep going, and keep it up!

OK, so it's only been 10 months since my last post ...
It seems I have quite a few friends blogging lately about their weight loss endeavors, so I think I'll do the same. Let's follow one another, be inspired, be cheerleaders of good health and habits, and keep each other moving!

30 and Blogging
I don't know what it is, but lately I've had some serious motivation to change most everything about my life. I believe that it must be because I recently turned 30, but maybe it's just because I'm sick and tired of how I lived through my 20s. I'm beginning to look at life in a whole new way, that's for sure. I want to find a meaningful relationship, lose a great deal of weight, become (more) financially stable, learn to love exercise, read fabulous books, and perhaps become involved in politics. Are my goals too lofty? I certainly hope not. I come from a family of forward-thinking women (I'm talking great-aunts who were lawyers in the 1940s - a time when women were not lawyers, doctors, etc), and I certainly do not want to break the trend. I debated law school for a bit, but that idea is still swimming through my head. I want to make myself a better person, and I certainly want to make the world (or at least this country) a better place for the children I hope to have in the future.
This blog is to be the start of a new, improved, much better version of myself. I think it's Liz 3.0; obviously I'm trying hard to embrace my age. Please join me on my journey; life is so much better when traveled with friends!
